Need Structure? Overscheduled? Too Much to Remember? Go Ping Yourself :)

I am good at the computer, I am good at the internet and I am good at my job...but I am not good at life. I tend to get very distracted by the streams of creativity constantly flooding my mind. For a long time I have wished to find an alarm clock that had multiple settings to keep me on track and help me become a more structured person. I've found something EVEN BETTER! Ping Me is a unique site that makes it easier to keep track of things you need to do - it's mobile and interactive. Create a Ping, set a date and you'll receive a reminder by E-mail or TXT to your phone. Because Pings are interactive, just reply to the message to reschedule if you need more time. You can even create new Pings from your phone or tag your Pings to create to-do lists. I love how my Pings appear on the Ping Me site as sticky notes. You can also Ping your children, spouse, friends, etc.

Organizing Help From a Junkie

If Marla Cilley is the queen of conquering clutter, then Laura of I'm An Organizing Junkie is the princess :) Laura is a self-proclaimed "resident 'freak' with a crazy passion for organizing". Her site is a lot of fun and and packed fantastic organizing information. One of my favorite categories is "Menu Plan Monday". Each Monday Laura posts her menu for the week and then about 250 other bloggers link to this post with their menus for the week. This is a gold mine for me. I HATE TO COOK...its true :( I hate to think of what to make, I hate to buy it, I hate to prep it, I hate to cook it and I hate to clean it up - Okay may a little TMI :) Anyway this is a HUGE! source for menu ideas. She has many fun categories like Storage Star, Tacke It Tuesday, Works For Me Wednesday & Slow Cooking Thursday. She also has created a "Monthly Organizing Roundup" which leads her readers through a different part of the home each month in depth. This is definitely one of my favorite blogs!

The Queen! of Conquering Clutter

Marla Cilley, better known to all who love her as FlyLady is the Queen! of conquering clutter and C.H.A.O.S. (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome). Her first principle of shining your sink may sound odd... it did to me before I tried it. I've lived in clutter my whole life caused by the mental fog that comes with being overly perfectionistic "if I can't make it perfect, why bother trying". Followers of FlyLady know that once that sink is shiny, everything else falls into place. Its one of those unexplained mysteries of life. She also emphasizes overcoming past guilt and "starting where you are". Because she understands the confusion that, for many, comes with tackling the mountains of clutter in your life, she leads us through "baby steps" in different zones each week. You will find inspiration through her encouraging email reminders and stories of victory over clutter.
